Angela and her team have been a delight to work with in the last year. We have engaged them on a series of refurbishment projects, and we were very happy with their design expertise but also their time management and their pro-active and positive attitude. OzHarvest is working with studiospillane on the design and delivery of our Brisbane community kitchen that will see us increase our cooked meal program, engage and educate more corporate teams on reducing food waste, expand food literacy programs, build sustainable funding pipelines and better respond to rising food insecurity including needs arising from natural disasters.
Angela and the team have been magnificent to work with. We appreciate their technical strength, pragmatic focus and good humour. They’ve listened deeply to our desired outcomes, thought inclusively about how we can design the space to benefit diverse guests, and navigated deftly (and patiently!) the challenges of bringing a project like this to life for a philanthropically funded charitable organisation. OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation on a mission to ‘Nourish our Country’ by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. Our yellow vans are out and about in communities every day, collecting quality surplus food from a network of donors and delivering it to charities including emergency relief programs, community centres and domestic and family violence shelters. Since OzHarvest commenced operations in Queensland, we have delivered more than 50 million meals to communities in need, diverting 24 million kilograms of excess food from landfill.
