Our Values

Two people in formal attire standing by a wooden railing in front of a paneled wall. Interior Designers in Brisbane Australia

We are commercial
interior designers.

We create spaces that elevate
the lives of people where they
work and play.

Simplicity, meaning, integrity, and a deep commitment to sustainability are our foundations.

We value Collaboration and Community

We work as a collaborative part of a diverse community.

We believe in universal design principles and designing for everybody.

We design egalitarian spaces that are beautiful for all to enjoy.

Using universal design principles we want people of every background and ability to have a positive experience in our spaces. We want equality of access, and universal enjoyment.

We partner with community led organisations, and encourage teaching and participation.

We have not-for-profits that we support pro bono with facilities’ advice and design oversight.

We hold fundraising activities every other month (through “artclub”).

And our principal participates in the Arts as the chair of not-for-profit board, Artisan (QLD’s centre for art and design).

COLLABORATION
(Community)
We work as a collaborative part of a diverse community.

JOY
(Experience)
We want to create a joyful experience in the spaces we make, as well as the way that we work.

INTEGRITY
(Ethical)
We are intentional about working in a sustainable way, supporting other local businesses and using materials and building practices that are not harmful to the planet.

CURIOSITY
(Creativity)
We want to nurture our curiosity in the world and continue to find creative ways to work, to problem solve, and to build.

GENUINE COMMUNICATION
(Clarity)
We communicate clearly with each other and with clients, builders and consultants.

PASSION
(Excellence)
We seek excellence in all of our works and are passionate in our pursuit of good design.

Impact

"Decisions made at the design phase influence how long something lasts, what it is made of, if it can be repaired, and what happens to it at the end of life. In fact, 80% of a product's environmental impact is influenced by decisions made at the design stage."

We value Integrity and Ethical ways of working

We are intentional about working in a sustainable way, supporting other local businesses and using materials and building practices that are not harmful to the planet.

Designing with sustainability front of mind and as first preference. The ecological and social footprint of Interior Design is in the materials we specify.

We work to reduce the “fast fashion” of the design and construction industries.

Every decision we make to specify a material or object starts here  - we are designing with the below principles front of mind and as first preference:

PLACE AND ORIGIN
(designed and made)

MATERIAL CONTENT
(recycled content and end of life)

COMMUNITY / SOCIAL
(universal design principles and no modern slavery risk)

OPERATIONAL / PERFORMANCE
(durability, timelessness, maintenance, and flexibility)

HEALTH AND WELLNESS
(ergonomics, comfort, and toxic material reduction)

DESIGN FOR DEFIT
(circular economy principles, modularity, retain and reuse)
